Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on 09/03/2025.

AppNerds (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to making AppNerds.net accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and continually improve the user experience for everyone.

Measures we take

Our website is built on the Wix platform. To support accessibility, we:

  • Use the Wix Accessibility Wizard to find and fix common issues.

  • Maintain a logical heading structure (H1–H3), landmarks (header, nav, main, footer), and descriptive page titles.

  • Provide text alternatives for non-text content (alt text on images, labels for icons/buttons).

  • Ensure keyboard navigation works across menus, dialogs, and forms, with a visible focus indicator and logical tab order.

  • Write descriptive link text and button labels; avoid links like “click here.”

  • Check color contrast and avoid using color alone to convey meaning.

  • Label all form fields and display helpful error messages; where possible, we associate errors with fields programmatically (aria-describedby).

  • Limit motion/animation and respect user Reduced Motion OS settings where supported.

  • Provide captions or transcripts for media when available.

Conformance Status

We target WCAG 2.1 AA. Based on self-evaluation and ongoing fixes using the Wix Accessibility Wizard plus manual testing, the site is partially conformant (some content may not fully meet all success criteria yet). We are actively working to improve.

Compatibility and assistive technology

Our site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and common screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) on desktop and mobile. Older browsers or unsupported extensions may affect experience.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of this site relies on: HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript rendered by the Wix platform and its components. We avoid features known to hinder accessibility (e.g., keyboard traps, autoplay audio).

Third-party content & integrations

Some features are provided by third parties (e.g., embedded video players, maps, booking widgets, chat/SMS/voice tools, analytics/ads). While we select services that strive for accessibility, we don’t control their code. If you encounter a barrier in any embedded component, please contact us for an alternative.
